Teleconsultation Policy

In accordance with National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH) telemedicine guidelines

1. Patient Identity Verification

Before any teleconsultation begins, we verify the patient's identity to ensure safe and accurate care.

  • Patients must provide their full name, date of birth, and a valid phone number at the time of booking.
  • A government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar, PAN, or passport) may be requested for first-time consultations.
  • For follow-up consultations, identity is confirmed using the registered phone number and patient records on file.
  • For minors, a parent or legal guardian must be present during the consultation and provide their own identification.
2. Consent Mechanism

Informed consent is obtained before every teleconsultation.

  • Patients provide explicit consent acknowledging the nature and limitations of a teleconsultation versus an in-person visit.
  • Consent is recorded digitally (via the booking form or a confirmation message on WhatsApp/email) and stored in the patient's records.
  • Patients may withdraw consent and end the teleconsultation at any time.
  • The consulting physician will explain the consultation process, expected outcomes, and any risks before proceeding.
3. Scope of Teleconsultation

Suitable for teleconsultation:

  • Follow-up consultations for ongoing treatment plans
  • Review of symptoms and progress assessment
  • Chronic condition management (skin conditions, allergies, digestive issues, hormonal imbalances, etc.)
  • General health queries and lifestyle guidance
  • Prescription renewals for existing patients with stable conditions

Not suitable for teleconsultation:

  • Medical emergencies (chest pain, severe bleeding, breathing difficulty, loss of consciousness)
  • Conditions requiring physical examination, diagnostic tests, or imaging
  • Surgical or procedural interventions
  • Cases where the physician determines an in-person visit is necessary for accurate diagnosis
  • First-time consultations for complex or serious conditions, at the doctor's discretion
4. Emergency Disclaimer

Teleconsultation is not a substitute for emergency medical care.

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 112 (national emergency number) or visit the nearest hospital emergency department immediately.

Dr. Neha's Clinic does not provide emergency or urgent care services via teleconsultation. In a life-threatening situation, do not wait for an online appointment.

5. Prescription Handling
  • Prescriptions issued after a teleconsultation are digitally signed and sent to the patient via email or WhatsApp.
  • All prescriptions include the doctor's registration number, patient details, date, and a list of medicines with dosage instructions.
  • Medicines are dispatched to the patient's address via courier, or the patient may collect them from the clinic at Dr. Neha's Clinic, Shop No. 401, Ganesh Plaza, JNTU Hitech City Road, KPHB, Kukatpally, Hyderabad - 500085.
  • No controlled substances or medications requiring in-person evaluation will be prescribed via teleconsultation.
  • Prescriptions are valid as per applicable regulations and are for the individual patient only.
6. Escalation to In-Person Care

The consulting physician may recommend an in-person visit if:

  • The condition cannot be adequately assessed remotely.
  • Symptoms worsen or do not respond to the prescribed treatment.
  • Physical examination, lab tests, or diagnostic procedures are needed.
  • The patient requests an in-person consultation.

In such cases, an appointment can be scheduled at the clinic:
